Discover Chinese language and culture in a playful way – with calligraphy, paper cutting, Chinese New Year greetings, games, mahjong and many small discoveries all about the Chinese Spring Festival.
Here's what you can experience with us
Speak
Learn Chinese New Year greetings and discover the Chinese language in a playful way. Sheep or goat? In Chinese, both are 羊 yáng! – and what does an apple 苹果 píngguǒ have to do with 平安 píng'ān (peace & wellbeing)?
Write
Pick up the brush and write Chinese lucky characters and New Year wishes.
Create
Get creative and discover Chinese New Year traditions – with paper cutting, paper art and small Spring Festival decorations.
Play
Get moving, join in the games, and pick up a few Chinese words along the way.
Mahjong Corner
Our mahjong corner is open throughout the afternoon. Anyone who feels like it can join in, learn about the Chinese game, or play a round together.
There will of course also be time in between for snacking, tea and chatting – small snacks and drinks will be provided.
